Apostolic Bible Study - Episode 006

Resurrection of the Dead

Hebrews 6:1-2
Genesis 8:13-21
John 5:26-29
1 Corinthians 15:41-52
In this lesson we cover the principle of resurrection
-Noah came out on the other side of the flood with a sacrifice and multiplication
-Jesus the expanded the definition to say that all would be resurrected to
and eternal fate
-Paul then explains that we ought to be expecting the resurrection
-We summarize that resurrection brings the expanded version of the former things.
Also that this stresses the importance of a continual gaze upon Jesus. Because
he will show us the victory if we don't turn away.

Apostolic Bible Study - Episode 005

Hebrews 6:1-2 - Laying on of hands

Supporting Texts:
Ephesians 4:12-15
Genesis 11:1-9
2 Corinthians 5:17-19

Summary:
In this episode we focused on a principle of the doctrine of Christ that I personally find a bit elusive. We first went through the definition of Christ. Then we studied how laying hands on something means you work on it (as in the tower of Babel). Next we established that the hand extends from the body to spread the word and work of God to the intention that it might be reconciled back to God as we see in Ephesians. Finally we conclude that what are hands are to be applied to is the building of the body of Christ which is a body of faith.

Apostolic Bible Study - Episode 004

Hebrews 6:1-2 - Baptisms

Genesis 1:1-13
Genesis 6:12-14, 17-18
Matthew 3:11

Summary:
In this study we made the difference between when the bible says "baptism" and "baptisms", this week we look at the later. We conclude that "baptisms" refers to the staged process God employs to take us through seemingly overwhelming experiences only to on the other side resurrect us into a greater way of living.

Apostolic Bible Study - Episode 003

Hebrews 6:1-2 - Faith Towards God

Genesis 5:1
Luke 1:5

Summary:
In this study we look at the definition of faith and contrast faith towards God verses other faiths. We conclude that we can fall in faith, but God can get us walking in faith again, we just have to recover from the deficit of our unbelief.
